Famida is a leading makeup artist, experienced in working on all skin tones. She can also do hair. Famida is a unique talent, with a wide and diverse range of skills and knowledge gained within TV, films, commercials, fashion, beauty, music, corporate events and celebrity clientele. Famida is also trained in hair, SFX and prosthetics.
Famida began her career in Yorkshire studying for a HND in Media Makeup and SFX. Whilst at college she was encouraged to secure a job with MAC Cosmetics and hone her makeup skills. In 2009, a move to London enabled Famida to enter into the fashion and beauty industry, and work, learn and train alongside the greats, such as Val Garland, Pat McGrath, Peter Philips, Lucia Pica, Kabuki, Inge Grognard amongst others. During this time, Famida worked on top fashion shows, such as Vivienne Westwood, Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger, Balmain, Dior and Chanel. She was also a Lead Makeup Artist at London Fashion Week SS19.
Famida has organically moved into film and TV, and she is beginning to build a portfolio of quality work, from The Red Riding Trilogy to Superhoe. She has also worked with an impressive list of celebrity clients, from Eva Longoria, Jourdan Dunn, Neelam Gill, to Gordon Ramsay and Raymond Blanc, as well as Bollywood talents, which include Manisha Koirala, Kanika Kapoor and Mahira Khan. Her work has been featured in a number of well-known publications including The Telegraph Magazine and Awkward World. Her signature styles involve creating modern looks with vintage and period influences. She’s also known for modernising classic looks and high-end glamour.
